The New DC comics stuff looks so much like stuff I would never read that it oddly fills me with hope that they are targetting the core audience they want. If a 43-year old man looks at most of this promo stuff and goes meh, then that’s very probably a good sign for them.2. Clever advertising by Morton's steakhouse.
Top names come together to celebrate Thought Bubble's fifth year with an anthology of new short comics. This collection will also print the winners of the first ever Northern Sequential Art Competition. All profits from this comic will go to the charity Banardos.Via.
That's why in Arkham Asylum, when he sees his mother she's been kind of haunting him, since they're dragging him to -- it's not Zorro, but it's an earlier movie, it's Bambi, and his mother is saying "you shouldn't be crying, you've made a fool of everybody." She seems quite nasty in that book, and I was looking back to memories of my own mother, I once I got dragged out of a cinema for screaming at the death of a turtle, so that was that. She's only ever appeared in my stories as kind of a scary figure. It's an interesting one, I think.2. Evan Shaner's looking for commissions.
"We started with a list of over 50 teenage heroes from the DC Universe," he recalled. "For example, the DC Universe has four blonde teenaged female archers, so there are a lot of characters."2. Puzzle Agent is 99 cents at iTunes.
this is the cover for BLACK PANTHER: THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN ALIVE #525, which debuted at SDCC last week. It will be out in November and will be the beginning of a new arc where T’Challa will be facing the Kingpin (Wilson Fisk), Lady Bullseye, Typhoid Mary, and lots and lots of ninjas.
Some months back, my buddy and collaborator Simon Spurrier became very, very old. To make him feel better I drew him a birthday image and printed it out so he could frame it and gaze at it’s loveliness as his faded with each passing moment, sorta like a Dorian Grey thing to order. All of the characters in the background he either created or worked on whilst making very good comics. I figured, however, that it isn’t enough that only he can gaze at it, so I have decided to unleash it upon the internet. Yes, that’s Simon at the bottom of the picture.*Buy Lone Ranger toys at eBay.
