Blogging software platforms.

Which blogging tool to choose is a dilemma faced my many new bloggers. There are so many good options, with varying levels of services and features, that the novice blogger is often at a loss about what to choose.

Out of frustration, the final choice is often the last one you see on your computer screen, or you simply try the one a friend is using at the moment.

Well, now there is an easier way.

Susannah Gardner of Buzz Marketing With Blogs has done the heavy blog lifting on your behalf. She has searched high and low, and deep within the often confusing maze that is blogging tool selection.

In a very well written and researched article entitled "Time to check: Are you using the right blogging tool?" for USC Annenberg Online Journalism Review, Susannah has taken the mystery out of blogging platform selection.

Along with the great article outlining the advantages and disadvantages of the most popular blogging software, Susannah added a powerful bonus for you.

She has created a handy one stop shopping blog software comparison chart.

The chart summarizes the pros and cons of the various blogging tools into an easy to understand blog software comparison chart. Talk about making things easy for us all!

Note that the chart only analyzes the installed versions of the blogging software, and not the many various available plugins. For a more indepth analysis of the literally hundreds of available blog software plugins, check the website for each of the platforms.

If you are new to business blogging, or any other genre of the blogging community, check out Susannah's article. She will make your choices that much easier.

While you're at it, Susannah has also written a great blogging advice book entitled Buzz Marketing With Blogs For Dummies. Be sure to check it out and order a copy as well.

Now, it's time to check out the features of your current blogging software, and the others available. If you are new to blogging, you choice is now that much easier as well, thanks to Susannah Gardner.
