At least many of them are finding notice, in some of the biggest name publications, in the offline dead tree world.
Baseball blogger, and friend of Blog Business World, Aaron Gleeman of Aaron's Baseball Blog, received notice from the well known and very prestigious publication known as Sports Illustrated.
They don't get much more household names than that, in the magazine world.
Aaron found himself listed in the Sports Illustrated 50th Anniversary issue, no less.
He was joined by fellow baseball blogger Steve Goldman's A Pinstriped Bible. That highly regarded blog concentrates on the New York Yankees.
Long time readers of Aaron's Baseball Blog recognize his fondness, if that is strong enough, his obsession for the Minnesota Twins.
Sports Illustrated also recognized group baseball blog, Baseball Primer and a Boston Red Sox discussion blog, known as Sons of Sam Horn.
Sports blogs are among the leaders in moving into the mainstream.
Whether you have an interest in sports blogs in general, or baseball blogs in particular, they have hit a home run with their successes.
Way to go, Aaron.
Oh, and I hope you win a big pot at Texas Hold 'Em!
